Scout Programs
The Holden
Arboretum has year-round programming where Girl Scouts can earn badges
and patches in a unique outdoor environment. Cost is $5 per girl, except
where noted, and girls will receive their patch at the end of the
program to take home. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

Winter Programs
(November February)
Brownies Plants Try It!
What better place to learn about plants than
at an arboretum? This indoor/outdoor program will show you how cool
plants are.
Juniors Frosty Fun Badge
Join us as we venture outside to learn about
snow and ice. There is a lot of fun to be had outdoors in the
winter. We might even go snowshoeing.
Sugarbush Fun Patch (March)
All ages
Come take
a self-guided tour of a sugarbush. Learn about the process, tap a
tree, sample the sweet stuff and leave with a Fun Patch.
Cost : $4 per

Outdoor Creativity (April June)
Juniors
Be inspired by
nature and create some of your own works of art.
Wildlife (May October)
Juniors
Learn all about
birds and the habitats they need to survive. You will use a self-led
backpack to complete this badge. Badge will have to be purchased
from your Troop Leader upon completion.

The Holden
Arboretum has year-round programming for Cub Scouts. Learn and have
fun in a unique outdoor environment. Cost for all programs is $3 per
scout, except for the Bird Safari, which is $2 per scout. All
programs are 90 minutes long. Call 440.602.3833 to register.
Tigers
Plants (November
February)
What
better place to learn about plants than at anarboretum? This
indoor/outdoor program will show you that plants are the coolest
things around. Complete Lets Go Outdoors Achievement 5d, 5g and
elective 30 - Plant a Seed.
Bird Safari
(May
October)
Learn all
about birds and what they need to survive. Use a self-led backpack
to complete Lets Go Outdoors Achievement 5g and elective 31- Learn
about Animals & elective 32 - Feed the Birds. Cost: $2 per scout.
Wolf
Plants (November
February)
What

indoor andoutdoor program will show you that plants are the coolest
things around. Complete the Grow Something electives 15c and e.
Bears Bird
Safari
(May October)
Learn all
about birds and what they need to survive. Use a self-led backpack
to complete Achievement 5 Sharing Your World with Wildlife. Cost:
$2 per scout.
Webelos
Forester
(Year Round,
beginning April 2008)
Study a
forest in a forest. Learn how trees grow, how to identify them, how
to tell their age and how animals use them. Scouts will complete
the Forester badge.
Sugarbush
