Policies:
The Corning Library may be used by the public as a reference facility during its regular hours. Print materials are not circulated. Some videos may be circulated for a fee to schools and other organized groups. Reference questions are also accepted by phone.
Collection strengths:
The Corning Library features books, periodicals and audio-visual materials in the areas of botany, horticulture, nature study, environmental issues and the educational aspects of these areas with a special emphasis on life science curricula for the elementary grades. The Rare Book Room houses print and art works primarily in the areas of botany, botanical voyages, herbals and horticulture.
