Free Snowshoe Classes

Sundays, Jan. 6, 13, 20 and 27; Saturdays, Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23

2:30 - 4pm

Gather your family and friends and learn to snowshoe. After a brief demonstration, strap on snowshoes and go for a gentle hike to explore the great outdoors. We’ll start with the all important trick of how to stand up from a prone position. After participating in one session you will be very comfortable hiking in deep snow with snowshoes.

Group meets in the lobby of the Thayer Building and is free for members and included with admission for nonmembers.

Registration is required. Program is only held when there is adequate snow cover.

Participants should be over the age of 10. Families with younger children should register for the snowshoeing class offered under the Children's Discoveries section of our class schedule.
