|Date||Saturday, Aug. 16|
|Time||9am - 3pm|
|Instructor||Marne Titchenell, wildlife program specialist|
This day-long class will help you enhance your woods for wildlife. Spend the day learning about the birds, amphibians, reptiles and mammals that make your woods their home. Learn how to attract a variety of species to your woodlot with proper management and how to monitor them!
We will begin indoors in the morning and end with a walk outdoors through wildlife habitats where we will further discuss monitoring techniques, management tips and learn to ID birds. Bring your binoculars and bird field guide, if you have one. We will be able to provide a few pairs of binoculars for those that don’t own any.
Titchenell received her bachelor of science in wildlife management and forestry from Ohio State University in 2004. She continued her study of forest wildlife at OSU’s School of Environment and Natural Resources, where she obtained her master’s degree in science in 2007. In late 2007, she became a wildlife extension program specialist for the OSU Extension.
