Nature Quest Camp

Date Monday – Friday, June 13-17
Time 9am – 3pm
Location Corning Classroom, The Holden Arboretum
Ages Entering Grades 1 and 2
Cost $119 members/ $149 nonmembers
Have you ever explored deep into the woods? Searched under logs and rocks for creepy crawlers? Wondered where chipmunks, foxes, and birds live? The Holden Arboretum is a great place to explore and learn about some of nature’s coolest things. We’ll create nature crafts, play animal games, and lead an expedition through Holden’s forests, gardens, and ponds.  Wear appropriate clothes for hiking through water and mud.  Bring a lunch, snack and drinks every day.  Space is limited. Drop-off and pick-up will take place at The Holden Arboretum.
   

Wild Child Camp

Date Monday – Friday, July 11-15
Time 9am – 3pm
Location Working Woods, The Holden Arboretum
Ages Ages 8-12
Cost $119 members/ $149 nonmembers
Have you ever wondered what you need to do to survive in the wilderness? Or do you just love outdoor adventures? Prepare for a week long journey through The Holden Arboretum’s grounds and natural areas and learn to live off the land. Wear appropriate clothes for hiking through water and mud.  Bring a lunch, snack and drinks every day. Space is limited. Drop-off and pick-up will take place at The Holden Arboretum.

Wild Child, Two!

Date Monday – Friday, Aug. 1-5
Time 9am – 3pm
Location Working Woods, The Holden Arboretum
Ages 8-12
Cost $119 members/ $149 nonmembers
This fun camp will dig a little deeper into the world of wilderness survival. Prepare for a week long journey through The Holden Arboretum’s grounds and natural areas and learn to live off the land through new and slightly more advanced techniques. Wear appropriate clothes for hiking through water and mud.  Bring a lunch, snack and drinks every day. This camp is for those who have previously enrolled in Wild Child Camp or those children who are comfortable in and have a strong love of the outdoors. Space is limited. Drop-off and pick-up will take place at The Holden Arboretum.

Working With Nature

Ages 12-15
Cost $159 members/ $189 nonmembers

Come experience The Holden Arboretum in a new way and learn about what it takes to have a career in the world of natural science and biology. Get a hands-on look at what Arboretum professionals in Conservation, Research and Forestry do. You will practice field techniques with biologists, climb and inspect trees with our forester, extract plant DNA in the research lab with Holden scientists and much more! Pack a lunch and wear clothes suitable for hiking outdoors.
