Gardening Camp

Description What better place to learn how to garden than The Holden Arboretum!  Plant a container garden to take home, help Holden staff maintain our ornamental gardens and even create a tasty dish out of locally grown vegetables.  We’ll also create seed crafts, play games, and hike the trails.  No gardening experience necessary.  Wear appropriate clothes for hiking through water and mud.  Bring a lunch, snack and drinks every day.  Space is limited. Drop-off and pick-up will take place at The Holden Arboretum

Nature Discovery Camp

Description

Have you smelled the lemony scent of crushed spicebush leaves? Caught a crayfish in a stream? Seen a bird through binoculars?  The Holden Arboretum is a great place to discover the wonders of nature.  We’ll also create crafts using plant parts, play animal games, and visit some of Holden’s gardens, ponds, and forests.  Wear appropriate clothes for hiking through water and mud.  Bring a lunch, snack and drinks every day.  Space is limited. Drop-off and pick-up will take place at The Holden Arboretum.

Woodland Adventure Camp

Description

Lace up your hiking shoes and prepare to explore the deep ravines, mighty forests, and other natural wonders of The Holden Arboretum.  We’ll discover the wildlife crawling along the forest floor and swimming in streams, build survival shelters, and orienteer our way through the rugged woodland. Wear appropriate clothes for hiking through water and mud.  Bring a lunch, snack and drinks every day. Space is limited. Drop-off and pick-up will take place at The Holden Arboretum.
