Can my guests tour the Corning house? |
Your guests are welcome to view the first floor of the home with exception of the kitchen. The Lantern Court kitchen is a working kitchen and due to Health Department Regulations only Holden employees or caterers can be in or pass through the kitchen.
The second floor of the home is only accessible to the bridal party if they choose to get ready in the home prior to the ceremony. All others are prohibited from going upstairs. All furnishings in the home are original to the home and were graciously donated by the Corning family. We ask that you respect the items in the home and do not pick up items or open any closets or drawers. |
Can I use the kitchen if I bring in food? |
No. Only the catering staff and Holden employees have access to the kitchen. Guests may not use the kitchen. |
What are the guest capacities for the reception and wedding locations at Lantern Court? |
Arcade: 75 people max seated Courtyard: 80 people max seated Patio: 80 people seated – 120 standing |
Do you provide seating for all my guests at the ceremony site? |
No. Holden will only provide 12 chairs for your ceremony for any guests you might have that have any special needs. You can rent additional chairs at your expense but you will need the rental company set the chairs up and take them down after your ceremony. Holden does not have the staff available. |
Can I decorate the house? |
No, only free standing floral arrangements are allowed. |
Can I decorate the Arcade? |
Yes. However no thumb tacks, nails or staples or fasteners of any kind can be attached to any surface. If you would like to use candles the flame must be enclosed and kept away from the woodwork. |
Can I decorate the Patio for my wedding? |
Yes, you are welcome to put out flower pedals, bows, archways, etc. No aisle runners can be used. |
Is electricity available in the Courtyard or Patios? |
