Kalberer Tower Closed for Maintenance

Workers from Phoenix Experiential Designs are now at the Arboretum applying stain to the Kalberer Emergent Tower. The work is necessary to protect the structures from the elements and preserve their beauty.

During the work, the Murch Canopy Walk will remain open.

Discounted tickets for the Murch Canopy Walk will be available to nonmembers – $2 for adults, $1 for children.

Once work is complete on the tower, crews will move to the Murch Canopy Walk. Staining the canopy walk is expected to take place between Monday, Aug. 1 and Saturday, Aug. 13. We encourage guests to check the website, Facebook, Twitter or to call 440.602.3838 for up-to-date information the day of their visit. We appreciate your patience as we complete this necessary maintenance.

Summer Hours: The Murch Canopy Walk and Kalberer Emergent Tower will remain open until 8pm on Thursdays, now through Aug. 25. The grounds will remain open until 9pm.

The Judith and Maynard H. Murch IV Canopy Walk and Kalberer Family Emergent Tower will take guests on an immersive exploration of the forest and tree canopy. The Murch Canopy Walk, a 500’ long elevated walkway built 65’ above the forest floor, will give guests a unique perspective on forests and the animals that inhabit them. The Kalberer Emergent Tower will take guests above the trees to a height of 120 feet where on a clear day you can see all the way to Lake Erie.
