Grand Opening of the Rhododendron Discovery Garden

The Holden Arboretum will open its newest garden dedicated to the rhododendron this spring. Join us for the opening celebration.

Bouquets Wine Tasting

When:	Saturday, May 25, 5 -7:30pm

Join us for an evening of wine in the gardens at one of Holden's most popular events.

Buckeye Bud's Adventure Woods Summertime Open House

When:	Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, 10am - 4pm
Where:	Buckeye Bud's Nature Play Area

Free admission for children 12 and under

Spend the day at Buckeye Bud’s Adventure Woods and see what’s new for 2013. Take a spin on the mini zip line, create a pine cone bird feeder to take home, weave on the oversized loom or use your imagination to act out a play in the woodland theater. Volunteers and staff will be on hand at a pond station set up just for this weekend so families can catch frogs and other pond critters. Children also can hop, skip and jump their way through Buckeye Bud’s obstacle course, visit Buckeye Bud’s cabin, view a puppet show or create their own artwork at the observation tower.

Free light and healthy snacks will be available.

If you can’t make the open house, Buckeye Bud’s will be open through mid October and is designed for families with children ages 3 to 10 years old.

Woodland 5K

When:	Sunday, June 23, 8:30am
Where:	Holden gardens and natural areas

Challenge yourself on Holden's trails during this 5K run/walk that starts at the Warren H. Corning Visitor Center and travels through our gardens and natural areas over a mix of asphault and well-groomed trails. 5K race and walk covering asphalt and well-groomed, smooth trails. Trophies will be presented to the top three male and female finishers overall and the top three male and female finishers in each age category. All proceeds to benefit Holden’s wellness and education programs.

Summer Garden Concert Series

When:	Tuesdays, July 9 thought Aug. 27, 6:30pm
Where:	Display Garden

Holden's summer concert series returns, showcasing local bands performing in our beautiful gardens. Bring a blanket and a picnic supper and enjoy a relaxing evening with us. This year, Holden will provde a cash bar with beer and wine each week.

The series will start on Tuesday, July 9 and continue every Tuesday through Aug. 27. All concerts are free and open to the public. There is no charge for admission after 6pm on the day of the concert. Guest are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and a picnic. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be on sale at each concert.
