Tree Tale Tellers

 

Dates: March, April and September – dates vary
Place: Local libraries in Lake and Geauga counties
Training:

Mid-February

 

Get kids and their families excited about nature and coming out to Holden! Spend an hour reading some of The Holden Arboretum's favorite tree stories to children. Volunteers travel to and from local libraries to conduct the story hours. All materials and training provided.

 

Requirements

  • Ability to travel to and from libraries (transportation)
  • Interest in working with children
  • Good communication skills
  • New volunteer orientation
  • Background check
  • Story hour training (one hour)
