Coronavirus Update

The Holden Arboretum’s grounds and buildings are closed to members and the general public beginning Thursday, March 19, 2020.

We kept the grounds open as long as we believed was safe, but as social distancing guidelines have become more stringent, it has become clear that the best course of action is to close the Arboretum grounds completely. Learn more about our decision to close the Holden Arboretum grounds from our President and CEO Jill Koski here.

The Cleveland Botanical Garden remains closed to members and the general public.

All classes and events at both campuses are cancelled through April 2020. People who purchased tickets for classes during that time will be contacted via email regarding a refund.

The pancake breakfasts scheduled for March 28 and 29 have been canceled. We’re disappointed to cancel this popular event, but the health and well-being of our guests, staff and volunteers is of utmost importance to us.  At this time there are no plans to reschedule the event.  People who purchased tickets should have received an email regarding the process for receiving a full refund. Please be patient with us as we have hundreds of refunds to process. If you have an urgent question you can email us at We thank you for your ongoing support.

The Midwest Cactus Society Show and Sale, scheduled for April 4 and 5 at the Cleveland Botanical Garden has been canceled. We hope to reschedule the popular event for the fall.

We rely on donations, large and small, to fulfill our mission of connecting people with the wonder, beauty, and value of trees and plants, to inspire action for healthy communities.
