Native plants are vital for ecological restoration and conservation projects and are becoming increasingly popular in landscape design. However, native plants can be expensive, and plants or seeds from other regions don’t offer the benefits that native plants do. This beginners’ workshop is for anyone wanting to learn how to collect and propagate native seed — from wildflowers to trees — for use on their site. Attendees will gain hands-on experience in all phases of the propagation process and learn the importance of using regional native seeds and plants. Attendees will also receive seed and written resources to take home for projects.
